LABOR DAY WEEKEND: Activities were limited due to Gustav pounding its feeder bands on us all day Saturday and Sunday. NL did get trapped and attacked by a VERY LARGE ROACH in the bathroom on Sunday night. Unfortunately we have no video of the assault but we did get the audio of the attack and will try to upload this week. Kristen and Whitney then find the roach beside their computers and came running downstairs which resulted in Kristen falling down the stairs onto the tile floor. As you can see from the swollen ankle the roach got the best of her as well. Richard had some quality time with the girls and managed to carry everyone up stairs.

Making our Friday rounds we visit Aunt Vickie at Shore Acres Nursing Home, stop by Grandma Frederick grave, Uncle Farris grave and then on to my mother, Norma Lee's grave. Lately we have been seeing these open graves at the cemeteries and wonder if we are to be learning something. At my mother's grave we see turtles and the most unbelievably large ducks!!!

Janine, Parker and Ansley come a visit. Steve is traveling and Kyle and Norma Lee are in School. We sure did miss seeing them too but as we all get older our schedules are all over the place.

June 14, 2008: Norma Lee, Kristen, and Whitney. Home from Gainesville after a two week bonding experience together with no parents. Went pretty well. Now they are back home with their friends for the summer. NL will have to head back Monday after Fathers Day.

Richard helps the buyer remove the laser from the dock and load unto his car. However, as they were lifting the laser from the dock Richard yells I am going in,

I am going in, but David kept pushing until Richard was finally knocked off the dock!! Kim missed the event or we would have more than just wet Rich photos.

valentines day.... The most unique one to date. Richard and kim stayed in with the dogs relaxing by the fire. norma lee is off at college so we missed her, kristen went to the movies with friends and well we know where whitney was...celebrating her valentines day and one year anniversary with weston. a little unconventional for them as well as it was spent in naples with his parents as the basketball team had regional playoffs.

New York City: March 7-10, 2007. I took my daughter Norma Lee and the family to visit NYU after she received her acceptance notice. I have loaded a slideshow of the trip but thought you might like to see some still shots as well. I had the best time at the MUSEUM of course!!

Opera: Halka, March 3rd,2007. Much better than Attila and the Polish dancers were superb!! Had a wonderful dinner at the Columbia, St Armands Circle before the Opera.
